Hello,

Just wanted to share a few pictures we took last night! Before we had James, everyone would tell us that we wouldn't remember what our lives were like before him, and that he would completely change our lives! Boy were they right! James brings so much joy to our lives. Every moment we spend with him is a blessing, and we love to show him off (hence, the blog :) ). Enjoy!

24 Weeks

Hi Everyone!

It's hard to believe, but on Wednesday, James turned 24 weeks old! What better way to celebrate than 6 shots?!?!

On Wednesday, James also got his first taste of real food, carrots, and as you can tell from the pictures, he's just not to sure he likes it yet!

Clearly, he was much more interested in his feet than eating!

Sign Language

Hello Everyone!

When James was 16 weeks old, we decided to start trying to teach him sign language. All of the books say they aren't old enough to understand until about 6 months, so we thought we'd just do one simple one ("eat") and see how long it would take him to get the hang of it. After about 6 weeks, much to our surprise, he started signing his version of eat! He gets so excited when he realizes we actually understand what he's saying!

Now we're on to "Mommy", "Daddy" and "Bath"! Three of his favorite things!!

The Dive

Hello!

Earlier this week, James kept doing head dives and then lifting up his legs. Kind of hard to describe so I've attached a video below! Keep in mind, I'm holding on to him but not moving at all...he's doing it himself!

On the same day, James came home from daycare making a noise with his tongue...he did it all night long!

Dinosaur Talk

Hi Everyone!

James has discovered a new sound...a dinosaur shriek! He can't get enough of it! If he's excited...he shrieks. If he's surprised...he shrieks. If he's tired...he shrieks. If he's mad...well, you get the point! He's always shrieking these days! Enjoy!

Labor Day Weekend 2009

Hello again!

We're just wrapping up James' first Labor day weekend...and what a busy weekend it was!  Nana, Bobo, Uncle Alex and Grandma and Grandpa Woodall all came to see us!

We did lots of work on the house, including painting the trim and putting in a drain system in our back yard!  Thanks to the brilliance of Grandpa Woodall, everything was smooth sailing!
